Survey: Companies looking to new HR structures

As the workforce continues to evolve and expand, companies are looking for new ways to make business processes more efficient and cost effective. A recent study by KPMG discovered that many firms are examining their human resources teams to determine whether skills and resources are being used to generate value for their firms.

Many enterprises are looking toward data analytics to improve employee recruitment efforts and nearly half of surveyed respondents said they had already outsourced important functions in the past few years.

Outsourcing human resources can help growing businesses benefit from crucial functions, such as filing paperwork and upholding Fair Labor Standards Act provisions while they expand, according to The Street. These external companies can take over tedious processes, such as picking the best healthcare coverage for employees, processing payroll and filing employee attendance records.

Forbes points out that hiring HR professionals can save business owners time and concerns. Outsourcing is money well-spent, considering human resources functions are necessary to company operations, and the liability reduction can save them much more in the long run if they can avoid compliance issues with the Department of Labor.
