Employee recruitment metrics HR departments should report

Whether a company has an internal team or has decided to try human resource outsourcing, there are a number of key metrics emerging that every employer should note. Recruiters of the past were primarily focused on two measures  - cost-per-hire and time-to-fill - whereas today's teams must consider a number of important factors, according to ERE Media.

In addition to the aforementioned two, Business Insider says employee recruiters should also be measuring and reporting the following metrics - referral rates, turnover, predictive analysis, pipeline development and post-recruitment survey responses.

The site explains that when recruiting teams take note of this data, they can turn it into actionable insight that improves their processes and also use it to demonstrate their successes to senior management. When numbers of referrals and turnovers are recorded, recruiters can actively use this data to set goals and track improvements.

Recruiters can also use predictive analysis to anticipate their future needs so they can stay ahead of the curve, pipeline development to keep a steady stream of prospective candidates flowing and post-recruitment surveys to learn about the strengths and weaknesses in the strategies they are using, the source notes.
